The Department of Health’s Mississippi Child Health Roundtable recently met to address critical child health challenges across our state - including high infant mortality rates and rising childhood obesity. From strengthening school nutrition and health education to supporting programs like "Move to Learn" and investing in teachers, the focus is on actionable, equitable solutions that support the whole child - body and mind.

The MAFP is proud to have Dr. Steven Burkett of Ovett as our representative.
Other MAFP members in attendance were Drs. Jennifer Gholson and John Mitchell.
