Amory Discount Pharmacy. Clinton Pharmacy. Gone.
Every closure is another reminder of why unified advocacy matters. When independent pharmacists stand together under one voice, lawmakers listen. A strong, united voice matters in this fight against PBMs.

Their message is clear:

• Rural communities are losing critical healthcare access
• Three PBM corporations control nearly 80% of the prescription drug market with little accountability
Since 2021, 55 independent pharmacies in Mississippi have closed. That number grew again this week.
The pharmacies still standing should not have to stand alone.
If you are an independent pharmacist who believes in protecting local healthcare, patient access, and the future of independent pharmacy in Mississippi, MIPA was built for you.
