Step 1: qEEG
An initial qEEG is performed to assess symptoms you may be experiencing. From the qEEG, a detailed report of your brain activity will be generated, usually within 48 hours. It will indicate underactive and overactive areas of the brain and the symptoms associated with the dysregulated areas.
Step 2: TREATMENT PLAN
Data recorded from the qEEG is uploaded and sent to our biofeedback system, creating a patient specific protocol. This protocol will determine exact brain sites and patient-specific auditory and visual signals to be used during the neurofeedback session.
Step 3: TREATMENT
A noninvasive EEG cap is placed on the patient's head for
approximately 45 minutes while a complete series of passive brain exercises, such as watching a video or listening to audio are completed. When the brain is performing as it should (the goal state), positive visual and auditory reinforcement is received. When the brain is not performing as it should (the current state), you receive negative visual and auditory reinforcement (screen dims and low pitch chime sounds). The brain quickly learns to produce more or less of certain positive frequencies, which in turn, reduce symptoms and effect behavioral changes.
