A real question we want you to sit with for a second.

What if "just getting older" wasn't actually the answer?

Most of the patients who walk into our practice have been told some version of: this is just what 40 looks like. This is just what menopause is. This is just stress. But after 20 years of doing this work, we keep finding that "just" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in those sentences. It tends to hide a lot of underlying patterns that have nothing to do with birth certificates. Instead, they are usually about hormones, inflammation, depletion, or detoxification.

The good news? Each of those is measurable, and every single one of them is workable.

Most of the patients who walk through our doors have been told some version of: "Your labs look normal. Everything is fine. Manage stress. Lose weight. Sleep more."

They have heard it from four, five, six providers. And every time, they leave the appointment thinking the same thing: "I know something is off. Why does no one seem to be listening?"

Normal labs are not the same as a healthy body. Standard blood panels show totals — not what your body is actually using, how it is metabolizing those nutrients and hormones, or how the patterns are shifting across your day, your cycle, your decade.

You can technically be "in range" while functionally running on empty. And the fact that no one has named it for you does not mean it is not real.

You might be measuring the wrong number. 📉

After 20 years of practice, there is one data point we wish more patients understood: VO₂ max. This metric represents how much oxygen your body can actually take in, deliver, and use. Why does it matter? It predicts your overall mortality more accurately than your weight, your cholesterol, or your BMI.

The reality:

Most people have never had it measured.

Chocolate chia pudding 🤍

A simple, nutrient-dense option that supports blood sugar balance, gut health, and keeps you full longer.

With healthy fats, fiber, and clean ingredients, this is a great go-to for a quick breakfast, snack, or something sweet without the crash.

Ingredients:
1 can coconut milk
3 tablespoons chia seeds
½ an avocado
3 tablespoons raw cacao powder (or 1 scoop chocolate protein powder)
Liquid or powdered stevia to taste

Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth
Pour into a container and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes (or longer to thicken)
Enjoy when ready

Easy to make, easy to store, and something your body will actually benefit from.

You don’t need to overhaul your life to feel better… you just need a few habits that actually stick.

Simple things like hydrating first thing in the morning, moving your body daily, taking breaks from screens, and prioritizing sleep can have a bigger impact than most people realize.

For women especially, these daily habits play a direct role in hormone balance, energy, mood, and even creativity. When your body is supported, you tend to think more clearly, feel more inspired, and show up more fully. When it’s not, it can look like brain fog, low energy, burnout, and feeling disconnected from yourself.

It’s not about being perfect, it’s about creating a routine your body can rely on.
