Ridgewood Orthopedic Group is proud to welcome Dr. Louis Amorosa. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Columbia, a spine surgery fellowship at Jefferson / Rothman Institute, and an orthopedic trauma fellowship at HSS.

Now Scheduling Telemedicine Visits!

In an effort to better serve our patients during this difficult time, we are now scheduling telemedicine appointments for new and existing patients. If you have a smart phone with a camera, or a computer with we**am capabilities, you can now have a visit with one of our providers without having to leave your house. These visits are covered by insurance. We are also in the office on a limited basis for in-person evaluation of emergencies. Specialties include arthritis pain, sports medicine, foot & ankle, hand & wrist, knee & shoulder, and spine (neck & back). Call our office 201-445-2830 to schedule your appointment!

Due to recent concern about the coronavirus (COVID-19), Ridgewood Orthopedic Group is taking efforts to protect patient health and safety. As such, the following temporary policies are in place:


1. If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms or have travelled overseas within the last 2 weeks, any office appointments will have to be rescheduled.

2. If anyone you’ve been in contact with is experiencing flu-like symptoms or has travelled overseas within the last 2 weeks, your office appointments will have to be rescheduled.

3. During office appointments, ONLY the patient will be allowed into the exam rooms. Family members, friends, etc. must wait in the waiting room area only. The ONLY exception to this will be for patients under 18, who can be accompanied by 1 parent or guardian. If you need an additional person in the exam room, please call to reschedule your appointment.

If you need to reschedule your appointment, we will make every effort to accommodate you with a new appointment. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding during this time. We will be sure to keep you updated as the situation progresses. Please feel free to ask the staff any questions you may have.

UPDATE: Due to high flu activity in the region, we are currently restricting visitors to prevent the spread of the flu.

Effective tomorrow, Friday, February 7, no one under the age of 14 or anyone with respiratory symptoms will be allowed to visit in all areas of the hospital.

In addition, anyone with flu symptoms, such as coughing, sneezing, runny nose, or fever, should be asked to refrain from visiting.

The Valley Hospital continually monitors information from local, state and federal health officials to remain up-to-date on this year’s flu. We view this visitation policy change to be in the best interests of our patients and the community.
