What a powerful quote by Alexander Den Heijer!

The same applies to children. If a child is not thriving in a certain situation, we should fix the environment, not the child. As therapists and educators, our role is not to "fix" children.

Instead, we change the environment by providing individualized accommodations and modifications, and then we focus on regulation, communication, and community-building in our services and programming. This is how the child can transform from feeling like a wilted flower to a blooming rose.
