❄️ We will be closed Monday 1/26 while we dig out ❄️

Note:
If you’re shoveling, ask for help when possible, pay attention to your mechanics, and take frequent breaks. Cold temperatures and heavy exertion can put extra stress on the body.

Be safe, stay warm, and see you soon!

01/20/2026

Cold weather encourages layering, resting, and avoiding unnecessary movement.

Your joints tend to express their displeasure when it’s finally time to get off the couch and head back to the office.

A little guidance now can go a long way when warmer days return.

New year goals are easier to keep when pain isn’t part of the plan.

Physical therapy isn’t just for recovery — it’s a way to support your body so it can keep up with what you want to do. Whether you’re returning to exercise, managing ongoing discomfort, or trying to prevent small issues from becoming bigger ones, the right guidance makes a difference.

At Move Well PT, every visit is 1-on-1 with your physical therapist — no techs, no double booking, just individualized care focused on your goals.

We’ve opened 10 evaluation spots for new clients.
Same-day and same-week appointments available for a limited time.

Me: I’m tired of putting random inserts in people’s shoes and finding them months later like lost artifacts.
Also me: Buys a 3D printer with zero chill.

We’re officially printing custom orthotics…designed from how your body actually loads, moves, and compensates.
If we need to make a change? Wow, we can.
We just print another one. No more waiting weeks for a new pair.

Now… hopefully this works in real life the way it does in my brain 😅
Thankfully, we have some wonderful first-line testers, so here’s hoping.

Here’s to innovating. 👣✨

New episode! (Finally)

Sorry for the delay, life has been exciting and busy, but we’re back with more fun topics. This episode we discuss a favorite recommendation of pretty much anyone giving unsolicited advice, stretching…

What we try not to tell you is how and what to stretch, but we will discuss why and what your body is trying to tell you when those tight sensations pop up, or you go to bend over and those hammies say, “nope!”

Tune in for our take on the popular pastime on Apple and Spotify podcasts.

So honored to be showcasing written works by Swarthmore’s Health Humanities students as part of their exhibition this year. It’s wonderful seeing their pieces displayed in our unique space weaving together the human experience with medicine and art.

So thrilled to be working with Swarthmore’s engineering students, Jacey Koh and Owen Lord (both rising sophomores), with the amazing leadership of Dr. Joseph Towles, an Associate Professor in the Engineering Department at Swarthmore. These bright minds are helping solve “real problems.” They’re taking daily issues we have as PTs and addressing them with their engineering prowess.

✅ Designing and coding a computer application
✅ Developing cost-effective sensors
✅ Making the process user and clinician friendly
✅ Testing and retesting – designing and redesigning

It’s amazing to see the work they’re able to do and I’m so grateful for this collaboration between Move Well PT and Swarthmore’s burgeoning Neuromuscular Biomechanics Lab (NMBL).

🎙️ It’s happening… our rookie podcast is officially launching! 🙈

Stephanie and I have talked about this for way too long, and we finally decided to leap outside our comfort zones and go for it.

We’re opening the doors to our offices—and our busy brains—to share clinical stories, surprising connections, and a mix of research, real talk, and a few fun analogies.

Busy Brains and Ankle Sprains dives into how an overactive nervous system and joint instability can show up in real life—whether it’s surprise dislocations, extra flexibility, or epic muscle tension with a side of spasms for all. 🌀

You might find yourself saying, “Wait… that’s me.” And while it’s not medical advice, it might help you start the right conversations with the right people.

Let’s untangle the weirdness together.
