With over 14 years of nursing experience, including 8 years in the Neonatal ICU and 3 years in Pediatric Primary Care/Urgent Care, Jodie brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our team. As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she’s dedicated to providing exceptional care to children and their families.

When she’s not caring for patients, Jodie loves exploring Idaho with her husband, three children, and their two adorable Goldendoodles, Snickers and Tully. Whether camping, hiking, or skiing, Jodie embraces the great outdoors.

🍫 Hot Cocoa Spoons Recipe
Mini chefs in the kitchen? Yes, please! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳
Create sweet holiday memories with this fun and simple recipe:

Ingredients & Supplies:

-Plastic or wooden spoons 🥄
-Chocolate chips or melting chocolate 🍫
-Crushed candy canes, mini marshmallows, or festive sprinkles 🍬
-Parchment paper or a silicone baking mat 📄
-A microwave-safe bowl

Directions:
1️⃣ Melt the Chocolate: Place chocolate chips or melting chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 15-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted. (Be careful not to overheat!)

2️⃣ Dip the Spoons: Hold the handle of each spoon and dip the bowl of the spoon into the melted chocolate, covering it completely. You can also use a small spoon to drizzle chocolate for an even coat.

3️⃣ Decorate: Immediately sprinkle the dipped spoons with crushed candy canes, mini marshmallows, or festive sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet. Be creative and have fun! 🎉

4️⃣ Let Them Set: Lay the decorated spoons flat on parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Allow them to cool and harden. This can take about 30-60 minutes at room temperature or 15 minutes in the refrigerator.

5️⃣ Serve or Store: Once the spoons are set, they’re ready to use! Stir them into warm milk to create a delicious hot cocoa treat. 🎄 Store extra spoons in an airtight container for up to a week.

The medical staff at the Pediatric Center currently consists of seven Board Certified Pediatricians and three Certified Pediatric Physician Assistants. We have been serving eastern Idaho for over 55 years providing quality pediatric care from birth to the age of 19. For your convenience, we have an in-house laboratory for necessary testing.
