Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, meditative style of yoga. Yin is all about resting in postures for an extended period of time, from 3-5 minutes, to target deep connective tissue.
Yin emphasizes stillness and allows time and gravity to gently stretch your body. Not only does this practice affect fascia, ligaments and joints, it produces a sense of calm.
Yin yoga is less about “doing” and more about “being.”
This class is not heated. Please bring a yoga mat and a medium blanket - you will use it to help you get the most out of your practice. You can also bring a bolster or we will have them available at the studio for your use.
