Summer break is quickly upon us with EIGHT days left of school ☀️ here are some quick sunscreen tips to keep all our patients protected:

☀️ Use a sunscreen with “broad-spectrum” coverage to help with both UVB & UVA rays

☀️ SPF of AT LEAST 15 or 30 but up to 50, more research to come if over 50 offers any extra protection

☀️ For our little ones, the use of hats and sunglasses but if your toddler won’t keep their hat on, look into whipped sunscreen or powder options to keep their scalp protected

☀️ For sensitive areas such as the nose, cheeks, tops of ears and shoulders, choose sunscreen with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. Even available in fun colors!

☀️ For our tiniest patients, we recommend protective clothing if under 6 months as well as shade

☀️ Apply sunscreen at least 15-30 mins before sun exposure and every 2 hours

☀️ We hope our patients have a safe, fun and relaxing summer
