El Faro Health and Therapeutics is helping spread awareness and knowledge about Alzheimer’s disease in our community. Education is power, and together we can make a difference.
Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive condition that affects memory, thinking, and behavior. Some common signs and symptoms (S/S) include:
• Memory loss that disrupts daily life
• Difficulty completing familiar tasks
• Confusion with time or place
• Trouble understanding visual images or spatial relationships
• New problems with speaking or writing
• Misplacing things and losing the ability to retrace steps
• Changes in mood, personality, or judgment
Early awareness is key. The sooner families recognize symptoms, the sooner they can seek evaluation and support.
Keeping the brain active is also very important. Activities like playing Lotería 🧠, reading, doing puzzles, socializing, and learning new skills are great ways to stimulate the brain and help keep it healthy and functioning. Games like Lotería encourage memory recall, attention, and social interaction — all of which support cognitive health.
