The Neighborhood is designed to offer more than one level of care on a single campus. We offer a range of housing, from seniors who want an increased sense of community and connection.

🎉 Congratulations to our Activities Director, Michael Antkowiak, winner of the New Mexico Health Care Association Award for Resident Support!

From starting as a Dietary Aide to now leading our Activities Team, Michael brings heart, creativity, and dedication to everything he does. A former Marine and trained linguist fluent in Mandarin and knowing Polish and Russian as well, he brings a unique blend of discipline, compassion, and communication to our community. He coordinates admissions, mentors staff, and leads engaging activities—including teaching residents in Memory Care to crochet intricate patterns that have empowered them with new skills and confidence.

We’re proud to have Michael on our team and thrilled to celebrate this well-deserved achievement!

We recently hosted our first-ever Exclusive Artisan Fair & Neighborhood Festival, and it was a huge hit! Local talent from within our community shined, showcasing beautiful handcrafted goods. And each artist generously donated an item for our exciting $1 raffle!

Our Dining Team served up classic BBQ hot dogs with chips and a drink out on the patio — the perfect way to enjoy the sunshine and good company. And let’s not forget the delicious homemade caramel corn that had everyone coming back for seconds!

Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and helped make this event such an amazing success. We can’t wait for the next one!

Opera Night Out!

We had a wonderful time at the opera enjoying "La Bohème"! For our driver Vu, this was his very first opera—and he absolutely loved it! He’s already talking about seeing more.

It was a truly magical evening full of music, laughter, and great company. These outings remind us just how special life at Neighborhood in Rio Rancho can be.

Residents and guests at our community were honored to welcome Shelley Takeuchi for a powerful and moving presentation on Japanese Internment Camps in New Mexico. Her talk, "Bloom Where You Are Planted," highlighted stories of resilience, culture, and strength during a difficult chapter in American history.

We offer a range of housing, from seniors who want an increased sense of community and connection. Living at the Neighborhood also means living where extra support is available at the same location – should you ever need it. Supportive Care at The Neighborhood is part of The Neighborhood in Rio Rancho which provides all levels of care on-site so the changing needs residents are met without having to relocate. Residents enjoy peace of mind because they receive lifetime housing, have predictable health care costs, and lifetime financial protection. Our community focuses on active lifestyles and opportunities for seniors to get involved, be a part of their neighborhood, and to give back, both to The Neighborhood and to Rio Rancho as a whole.
