Such a great night with our students and new grads.

We had an awesome turnout for our student and new grad event — full room, great conversations, and even better energy. It was so good to see future clinicians connecting, sharing goals, and just enjoying being in the same space together.

These events always remind me how important community is early in your career. The transition from student to clinician can feel big, but nights like this make it feel a lot more supported.

Grateful for everyone who showed up, engaged, and made it such a fun, meaningful evening. Looking forward to the next one.

Mentoring students and new grads is one of the best parts of my week.

Today’s conversation? Squat mechanics.

We broke down positioning, load management, common compensations, and how to coach the movement in a way that actually translates to real people — not just textbook reps. I love watching the moment it clicks: when someone stops memorizing cues and starts truly understanding movement.

These conversations are never just about one lift. They’re about clinical reasoning, confidence, and learning how to think — not just what to think.

Grateful for the chance to pour into the next wave of clinicians.

Something new — our research abstract just got accepted for an in-person poster presentation at the 2026 American College of Sports Medicine conference!

The project looks at how age and physical maturation impact athletic performance in youth athletes — a topic I care a lot about as a clinician working with developing athletes every day.

Big credit to the awesome team that worked with me on this project. Excited to share the work, learn a ton, and connect with others in sports performance and sports med. If you’re going, say hi 👊

Precision in every rep. 🎯
We use the same tech the pros use to measure:
✅ Force Production
✅ Limb symmetry
✅ Rate of Force Development

Moving the needle (literally) today. 📈
Continuing with data driven care and I’m never looking back. Using forceplates with my patients continues to be game-changer—turns out, numbers don’t lie! It’s one thing to say “you look stronger,” it’s another thing to show them the actual receipts on the screen. 🧾💥
The best part? Having students in the clinic to geek out with. Watching them realize that rehab can be more than what we learn in school and showing actual sports science in action is the feeling.
Teaching the future, testing the present. Let’s get it! 🚀

Short run to hit 200 for the year, not as many as I had originally hoped for, but solid nonetheless!

Why use a force plate for a simple jump squat? 🤔
It’s about optimizing the rate at which you produce force! The countermovement jump (CMJ) is a fantastic way to test your body’s ability to use the Stretch-Shortening Cycle (SSC).
The system is showing:
1. Eccentric phase: How efficiently we load (decelerate).
2. Concentric phase: How quickly we explode (accelerate).
3. Jump Height: A direct measure of total force output.
If you’re serious about power, the data doesn’t lie!
