PLANTAR FASCIITIS: Obesity is present in 70% of people w/ plantar fasciitis. Women are 6 times more likely to get plantar fasciitis than men. 90% of plantar fasciitis cases can be resolved w/ conservative care, including chiropractic adjustments and orthotics.

A couple patients requested this week that I start posting more about my office & Chiropractic in general. Social media isn't a priority for me, but I'll definitely make more of an effort. Here it goes... 90 year old Veteran came in 2 weeks ago complaining of severe pain from neck to low back. He hasn't been able to drive & immensely misses his daily walks. 4th visit today & he is back to driving himself & walking everyday. He shed a tear today when I wished him a Happy Father's Day. He replied he indeed would enjoy his Father's Day because he's out of pain & I gave him his life back. Dealing w/ insurance companies & noncompliant patients isn't fun, but I love my job because of patients like that 90 year old Veteran. Enjoy the rest of your week & upcoming weekend!

During the flu epidemic of 1917-1918, both chiropractors and osteopaths noticed that their patients had a lower fatality rate, 0.25% than the medical profession at 5-6%. The conclusion of a paper written in 1919 was that subluxations suppressed the immune system, and that removing them assisted the immune function. Now newer research shows that white blood cells increase with chiropractic adjustments. A smaller study showed that the immune response of HIV-positive patients increased as measured by their CD4 count with chiropractic adjustments. So the next time you want to cancel your appointment because you’re too sick, remember a chiropractic adjustment is just what the doctor ordered.
