Green Lake greeted us with a spectacular sun dog (also called a parhelion) shining over Big Green Lake today!

This winter magic happens when ice crystals in the atmosphere refract sunlight into a halo of light around the sun.

With sea smoke rising off the water and a Cold Weather Advisory in effect, it’s a breathtaking reminder of Green Lake’s beauty—even on the chilliest days. ❄️
