Rising Star Nursing and Rehabilitation celebrated National Nursing Home Week recently with events all week for residents and employees. Our employees were treated to barbeque sandwiches from Solaris Hospice, we enjoyed homemade ice cream sponsored by Whitney Henderson and Kinder Hearts Hospice and we were treated a great meal from CCS Hospice from DeLeon. Thank you to all our sponsors and well-wishers helping us celebrate ourselves and our residents during National Nursing Home Week.

Congratulations to Ms. Brenda Goldtson after a successful Rehab to Home stay at Rising Star Nursing and Rehab. When asked if she would recommend us to someone in need of rehab Brenda replied “ I was pleasantly surprised how good it was.” “As a former nurse of 35 years, I can say that the nursing was excellent. They asked me how I was doing, gave me my meds on time and always checked on me.” “The dietary department was great at taking care of my specialty diets. The food was excellent. And Nicola and Tammie in the therapy department were just fabulous. They would not let me take a day off . I actually did not think I would walk out of here after my accident. The therapists were excellent. I was so surprised. I would recommend this nursing home to anyone. It is excellent Rehab.
