Have you ever heard the saying, ‘a goal without a plan is just a dream?’
Without action steps and a system to implement them, goals are likely to fizzle.
Here are Anna's top tips for success to achieve your goals at New Year or any time of year.
Start with a vision that is your own. Don’t set goals just because it’s a new year. Choose goals that align with your values and reflect the life you actually want for yourself.
Simple + practical + enjoyable = sustainable. Making our goals complicated, unrealistic or unpleasant is a set-up. When you identify goals that are a stretch, but that you actually look forward to, you are more likely to succeed.
Reduce resistance. Reduce the friction that stands between you and attaining your goals. For example, to drink more water, put a full bottle out on your bathroom counter the night before so it’s available first thing in the morning. To start a walking habit, put your socks and untied sneakers right by the door. Want to save money in 2023? Have the amount automatically deposited into your savings account before you even see it.
