Summer's coming to a close and for many of us taking classes, or with children in the family, the back-to-school shift is already well under way. It's the start of busier routines, more responsibilities and less time to ourselves. An unfortunate truth is that the way that many of us make room for these new pressures, is by removing the time we took through the summer to focus on ourselves. Even if you're not having to get yourself, or a family member to class, it seems like the end of summer triggers the whole of society to feel like it needs to suddenly be in a big hurry to do everything.

The routines we created in the summer that gave us little moments of relaxation fall by the wayside and we start to adjust to the new normal.

A reminder for your health and happiness...
Here at Red Cedar Healing I want to remind you that self-care, those moments we create for ourselves, those little things that we allow ourselves to do simply because they bring us peace...

Those are the very last thing we should let go of!

Self-care is care for your family. It's care for your career. It's care for every other part of your life that society tells us we should prioritize instead. It's how we nurture and grow the pool of energy that we use to power everything else we do.

Take some time to be kind to yourself.

Today's inspiration: how many times does the world attack us & we feel overwhelmed? Find a quiet place, sit take a deep breath, close your eyes, allow your breathing to slow with each breath, let all the days worry, anxiety & frustrations out with each breath. Feel how your body is relaxing, pushing out all that doesnt belong, feeling more at peace, focusing on your head, loosening your jaw, then shoulders, down thru your chest, arms, hands, abdomen, hips, legs all the way to your toes, connecting to the earth, releasing into the ground your pains. Allow yourself to feel, how relaxed, grounded and centered, much more refreshed, more connected in a better place. Gently open your eyes as you feel at peace & more calmer.
