Do we live in a society that values health, human dignity, and safety? Are corporations and bad actors held accountable for the consequences of their actions or inactions? I think we need more lawsuits to elevate health and safety in our community and make a better society at large. What do you think?

What are two questions you should ask of a personal injury attorney when you call them after a car collision or fall or workplace injury?

These two questions are not what you think. Watch the video and let me know your thoughts.

Have a great Saturday and enjoy time with people you love and doing the things you cherish.

New video!

In this video, we continue our discussion of anti-tort reform, taking back the power from corporations/insurance companies that seek to devalue human life and enable bad behavior. By understanding insurance company propaganda and half-truths, we will elevate health and safety in our community. It’s our choice. Not theirs. They are profit driven.

Insurance companies want to limit our access to civil justice to hold accountable, corporations that put profit over safety by cutting corners, and individuals who refuse to accept accountability for their choices to not follow the rules of the road and put others at risk while we’re driving the kids to dance. To do that, they peddle propaganda so that people think lawsuits are “frivolous.”

Watch the video below and learn about what is a “frivolous” lawsuit and why, when a case gets before a jury, it is likely not a frivolous lawsuit, having survived litigation and a judge’s review up to that point.

That’s why trials should be given the attention they deserves, and is likely meritorious and deals with questions of health and safety that affect everyone in the community and is an opportunity for neighbors to weigh in on the importance of human dignity, valuing truly the things that are important: our freedoms to enjoy the things we enjoy and if that’s taken from us, it’s not meaningless or cheap.

If you agree, please like, comment and leave a note below. If I could ever serve you, please reach out. Enjoy your weekend!

New video. 🚨

Happy Monday!

In today’s video we talk about insurance propaganda and how that is creating an environment in which people take less accountability and think bad on others who seek to hold others accountable though our civil justice system.

Here’s the thing: A lot of the information from insurance companies is not true and there’s nothing that is MORE valuable than our health and that the things we love doing are are not worthless—they’re priceless!

In a short while, if we let the insurance companies win, it’ll create a society in which no one will take ownership over the consequences of their actions and when we seek to hold people and corporations accountable, our neighbors will align more with the defendant than the plaintiff/victim and hero who is simply trying to make our community safer and valuing human dignity (not just for themselves, but all of us!). We see the trend going that direction, no?

Watch the video below of a person who is forced to take accountability as an irresponsible dog owner by none other than the GOAT Judge Judy. Video in the comments*

Please comment, like and share. The more we get context and help educate each other, even on a small scale, the greater chance we have to put people first.

Happy Monday!

In our last video we asked the question, Why is tort reform so damn effective? It’s effective because it plays into our innate psychology of defensive attribution (rationalizing reasons why bad things can never happen to us so we feel safe) and confirmation bias (video on this soon).

Today, we question a popular insurance industry allegation that civil accountability raises insurance rates. And so if we don’t want our insurance rates to go up (and those are astronomical), don’t bring a lawsuit at all, or, if as a juror, come up with a reason to throw the case out maybe for the wrong reason.

Today, and moving forward, we set the record straight. This is anti-tort reform, putting people first to elevate health and safety at our communities.

Don’t forget to like, share and comment if this is informative. If I can ever be of assistance, give me a call at 631-500-0161 or shoot me an email at info@iwantasettlement.com

Have a great week and see you Friday.

Happy weekend!

Here’s “Friday’s” video. Sorry! My allergies were too bad to film, yesterday.

We continue on with our movement to put people first, elevating health and safety in our community against the dark forces that seek to steal our dignity and enable reckless behavior all for profit.

The first question we should ask is, Why is tort reform—preventing people from seeking justice and valuing health so little, or so insignificant that it’s worth nothing—so damn effective!?

We will test whether the propaganda of the insurance industry is accurate in the next video, but now we ask, Why does it work?

Simple: it taps into the part of our brain that wants to keep us safe. It’s called defensive attribution.

Well, if we want safety, we need to hold reckless actors and dangerous methods of corporations accountable so their behavior changes. That’s what people crave: Justice; to hold people and companies accountable so we came be safe and so we can do what we love, unique to all of us.

As always, if you’ve any questions or comments, read them below and feel free to call me at 631– 500–0161, or shoot me an email at info@iwannasettlement.com.

On behalf of my family, have a blessed memorial day. God bless America.

Happy Friday!

We continue our discussion about the forces working against us by devaluing, health and safety in our communities. Today, let’s look at an example in New York of a law that only values—not a person’s life—but only a small segment of pain and suffering, and then values only medical bills and lost wages, if any. That’s the effect of “tort reform” on New York policy.

We can’t stand for this, because if we are the ones who are seeking justice and accountability, because the things that we love were taken from us, we will be told that those things we once cherished, are worth little or nothing at all.

This is ANTI-TORT-REFORM. This is where we start to educate the community about those dark forces that seek to steal our dignity, and at the same time, enable others to escape accountability.

We’ve all heard of terms like “ambulance chaser” and “runaway (or nuclear) verdict” to disparage injury attorneys and keep verdicts/settlements low.

Believe it or not, this is by design: to restrict a human being’s right to civil justice and to devalue human life an dignity. Simply stated, it’s propaganda by insurance companies.

This propaganda is called “Tort Reform.”

The belief is this: If insurance companies can stigmatize personal injury lawyers and cases, as well as devalue injuries/health, there is little hope for holding corporations that, say, put profit over safety, or drivers that send emails in school zones, accountable. Accountability means that an insurance company will have to pay out on claims. Obviously, an insurance company wants to keep all its money and invest in stadiums and venues and line the pockets of executives.

The goal is, if enough people in a community hate lawyers and think it’s a money grab, the insurance companies make more money.

I, for one, cannot stand for this.

We must value health and safety in our community more than medical bills and lost wages. The loss of the things we love and care about, the things that give us pleasure and comfort and joy are not worthless—it’s all we have as human beings and we must be aware of these dark forces before it’s too late; before it’s us that are the victims and we’re told it’s all our fault, and the loss of the things that makes you, you, is worthless and to be ashamed we sought justice in the first place.

This is ANTI-TORT-REFORM. This is the beginning where we start to educate the community about those dark forces that seek to steal our dignity, and at the same time, enable others to escape accountability.

Watch and share.
