Iris is back and came in like a Marsden ball!

The Marsden ball is used for a variety of vision therapy exercises. It is often used if you or your child has the following conditions:

-Autism spectrum disorders
-Problems with visual spatial processing
-Poor visual tracking skills
-Hand-eye coordination problems
-Difficulty using both eyes together
-Strabismus (crossed eyes)
-Traumatic brain injuries
-Amblyopia (lazy eye)

Marsden ball exercises are just one vision therapy technique to improve visual issues.

Today we want to highlight another vision therapist, Brittany!

Brittany joined our team in 2019 and has taken on many roles in the office, but has found her calling being a vision therapist. She loves all of her patients, but especially thrives with young kids. She connects with them in a way that makes vision therapy fun and effective.

We love having Brittany on our team and our patients do too!

In honor of Vision Therapist Appreciation Week, we would like to re-introduce one of our vision therapists Pam!

Pam has been with Twin Forks Optometry since 2018 and became a Certified Optometric Vision Therapist (COVT) in 2021! Pam is an incredible therapist that really takes so much pride in getting to know her patients and creating activities specific to them. She loves what she does and it truly shows in the success of her patients!

We (and our patients) are so lucky to have Pam on our team!

Introducing the newest member of our team, Dr. Sonia Singh!

Dr. Singh graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor's in Sociology. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from SUNY College of Optometry. Dr. Singh also completed a residency program in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation at SUNY College of Optometry where she focused on treating patients with eye teaming problems, eye turns, and patients with traumatic brain injuries.

We are so happy to have you as part of our team!
