We took a little trip to Germany with soft pretzels, non-alcoholic beer and a tour of famous places around the country, all while listening to their music to really immerse ourselves in German culture 🇩🇪 Residents had a blast discovering all that Germany has to offer (and are a big fan of the snacks!) 🥨

Residents and staff got to experience the beautiful balance within Chinese Martial Arts Taichi, as instructed by Jodi Adler.
⁉️ Did you know while it was initially developed for combat and self-defense, for most practitioners it has evolved into a sport and form of exercise.

Prior to a resident’s discharge from our facility, our rehabilitative professionals make sure they’re ready for the challenges involved with returning home or to an alternate level of care. In addition to outlining personalized exercise plans and guidelines for safely performing daily routines, our therapists will make sure each patient can manage walking, stairs and other obstacles related to returning home.

We made Apple Cobbler in cooking club to share with friends, and it came out SO GOOD 🤤 Baking is a beautiful way to come together in community, and being able to share with others warms the residents hearts.

DeGaLS paid us a visit and performed some classic tunes with their amazing voices! They're an acapella quartet that is part of a large organization called Sweet Adelines International, and are also part of The Long Island Sound Chorus. They've been performing since 2022 and we were so happy to have them! Residents loved their unique arrangements of some old favorites, and enjoyed singing along.

Our staff is what truly makes us shine! We are so thankful for them every day - continually going above and beyond for our residents to ensure they're well cared for and happy.
We showed some extra appreciation by having the Mobile Cafe visit us to dole out some incredible brew. We always love the opportunity to connect and spend some time together over a cup of coffee.

Join us in wishing the fireball that is Grace Zukas a happy 106th Birthday!!! 🎂
Grace was born in 1919 in Suffolk County , the only girl of 6 children! She has a daughter, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren! 🫂 She says the secret to a long life is “ Love, Hope and Charity “, which we think is truly beautiful. Grace may have stopped driving a car at 99 but her drive and motivation is unmatched. Her friends visit often and she is such a joy to have in our community!
📣 Please leave some birthday love celebrating Grace in the comments!
