Dr. Angie's Place

Dr. Angie's Place I know that people with dyslexia, AD(H)D and autism are intelligent and gifted. I want the world to Hi and thanks for taking the time to check out my story.

I am Angela Gonzales. I am a Licensed Davis® Facilitator, parenting coach and retired pediatrician. But most importantly I am a mom of three amazing young men and have been married to the man of my dreams for 26 years. (Mushy, but true). My boys are exceptional human beings, not despite their dyslexia, ADD, dysgraphia and synesthesia...but because of it! What am I passionate about? That's easy. I

am passionate about letting everyone, I mean everyone know that individuals with dyslexia, AD(H)D, autism and any processing differences are not dumb, stupid or lazy. I want the world to know that these individuals, whether they are five years old or eighty years old, are intelligent, creative, out-of-the-box thinkers that just need to learn to capitalize on their gifted style of thinking. What am I the next most passionate about? Simple. Helping those who love and care for these individuals- especially parents- understand them so they can support them in their greatness. It is not always easy (I know, been there, doing it now). But, we supporters need to love our lives as well. We, as parents, have the right to live our lives, everyday, in joy and happiness. So what do I do? At Dr. Angie's Place we help empower unique thinkers with tools to capitalize on their style of thinking while overcoming the obstacles. If you have characteristics of dyslexia, AD(H)D, autism or other processing differences, then I can empower you with:

-tools for laser focusing

-tools for managing your internal energy level

-tools for immediate stress reduction

-enhanced reading skills

-control of unwanted behaviors

-an understanding of cause and effect

-anything else you need specifically to participate fully in your life
all while maintaining that brilliant style of thinking. If you are a supporter of one of these innovators then I can empower you with:

-tools to help you love your life right now

-an understanding of why your love one is how they are - the very cool and not-so-cool parts.

-the best ways to support and communicate with this gifted, visual style of thinking

I am in the process of building a communication network regarding understanding learning differences and how to love our lives as we navigate this human existence. I would love for you to follow me on this adventure and contribute to the conversation. Keep an eye out and an ear to ground as we begin the wave.

Why do we use clay in our Davis Mastery for Dyslexia programs? Because it gives dyslexic thinkers a multi-sensory way to master symbols and concepts that traditional teaching methods don't provide. This approach works WITH their visual-spatial thinking style rather than against it. https://buff.ly/AwcTPbm
