We’re heading to the breathtaking Villa Pi Blau to slow down, settle in, and remember what it feels like to just be. Our daily yoga and meditation practices will be the anchor for your journey inward, providing the space you need to truly let go.

The sights in Morocco were unforgettable, but it was the people who kept stealing my attention. Some I spoke to, others I admired from a distance — a handful of conversations, countless quiet glances, and a refreshing kindness woven through every interaction.

If I’d had more time, I would’ve asked about their days, their dreams, their histories…and stayed long enough to truly listen.

There’s something about rising with the sun over Marrakech that pulls you back into wonder — into that childlike awe we’re all born with… the instinct to be amazed, to let life touch you fully.

This day reminded me to honor every detail of every experience, as if seeing it for the very first time…again and again.

POV: Stepping across centuries of Moroccan craftsmanship and falling in love with the details beneath my feet.

Maybe it’s the designer in me, but I couldn’t stop photographing the floors in Morocco—tile or otherwise. Every surface carried a story. The zellige was handmade, hand-pigmented, and rich with centuries of tradition, each square shaped by hand…a craft passed down for generations.

Even the non-tile floors held their own quiet beauty and history…worn in all the right places, holding memories of everyone who’s walked them before. There’s something magical in the way Moroccan floors carry stories in every corner, crack, and color—another piece of Morocco I’ll forever be in awe of. ✨

When David and I first dreamed up this retreat, we hesitated. The world felt heavy, people were struggling, and we wondered who we were to fly across the ocean for what could look like a “vacation” while so many were barely holding on.

But then we remembered—we were struggling too. We needed rest, softness, and space… just like so many others. So we moved forward, trusting that restoration is also a form of resilience.

And this trip? It ended up being one of the most meaningful journeys either of us has ever taken. It held everything we didn’t even know we needed: rest and exploration, deep connection and quiet introspection, laughter, learning, and the simple act of caring for one another.

At the close of the retreat, David taught me about a Fermata—when a long musical note is passed from one instrument to another when breath runs out, and then picked back up again when the first instrument returns.

That was us. Offering ourselves a pause, letting someone else carry the note while we rested… so that when we returned—renewed, grounded, and a little more healed—we could carry our part again. And maybe inspire others in our orchestra of life to rest, too.

Endless gratitude to my friend and mentor, David—thank you for trusting me, teaching me, believing I was ready, and supporting me in every dream I dare to speak out loud.

And for everyone asking… yes, we’ll be running this retreat again. Follow along for updates and and more magic from this journey.
