We are able to offer our patients care for common acute medical ailments, lab and testing services, immunizations, and even referrals to specialists or primary care physicians if necessary. If you're not able to come and see us in person we have Virtual Visits available everyday where you can speak to one of our doctors from the comfort of your home. For those patients that do not have insurance or choose to pay in full at time of service. Clinica Bienestar offers straightforward pricing of $79, $99, $109 to see a Marque physician, depending on the complexity and length of visit. We accept most PPO plans and select HMOs. To book your vaccine appointment, follow the steps below:⁠
1. Visit MyTurn.CA.Gov and click ‘Start here’⁠
2. Follow the directions and click ‘Continue’ at the bottom⁠
3. Enter your Address or Zip Code and click ‘Continue’⁠
4. Scroll to Clinica Bienestar and choose the type of vaccine you prefer, and click ‘Schedule appointment’⁠
5. Choose a day and time and click ‘Continue’⁠
6. Fill in the patient information and answer all questions and click ‘Complete Appointment’ at the bottom⁠

Purple Heart Day is observed on August 7 each year and is a time for Americans to pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who were either wounded on the battlefield or paid the ultimate sacrifice with their lives. Purple Heart Day is also known as National Purple Heart Day, Purple Heart Recognition Day and Purple Heart Appreciation Day.

Criteria For Receiving A Purple Heart
The Purple Heart has a long list of criteria for eligibility-too long to list here. Why is the Purple Heart Purple?
One contemporary interpretation of the color of the Purple Heart is that the color represents the blood of all those who have made sacrifices in war, but traditionally the color is thought to represent the courage of those who serve. FREE BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENINGS at Northgate, Riverside!

When your heart beats, it pumps blood around you body to give it energy and oxygen. As the blood moves, it pushes against the sides of the blood vessels. Blood pressure is the force of blood against your artery walls as it circulates through your body.⁠

Every blood pressure reading consists of two numbers or levels. They are shown as one number on top of the other.⁠
- Systolic Pressure (Top #), the highest level your blood pressure reaches when your heart beats.⁠
- Diastolic Pressure (Bottom #), the lowest level your blood pressure reaches as your heart relaxes between beats.⁠

Checking your blood pressure often is a good thing. About 1 in 3 U.S. adults have high blood pressure (hypertension) and only about half of these people have it under control. It's important to know your numbers. ⁠

Here are some tips when checking your blood pressure:⁠
1. Put the cuff on a bare arm⁠
2. Support your arm at heart level⁠
3. Support your feet or have them flat on ground⁠

We all know by now how to properly wear a mask, but it is always good to remind you of the Do's and the Dont's when it comes to wearing your mask properly.⁠

DO's⁠
- Thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water before touching the mask⁠
- Check the mask for tears or holes⁠
- Cover your mouth, nose and chin⁠
- Adjust the mask without leaving gaps on the side⁠
- Avoid touch the mask⁠
- Use the straps to remove the mask⁠
- Keep the mask away from you when removing it⁠
- Discard the mask immediately after use, preferably into a closed bin or if you are wearing a cloth one, to wash it regularly⁠

DONT's⁠
- Do not use a ripped or damp mask⁠
- Do not wear a mask just over the nose or mouth, both must be covered at the same time⁠
- Do not wear a loose mask⁠
- Do not touch the front of the mask⁠
- Do not do other things that will require touching the mask⁠

At Bienestar, we use advanced diagnostic equipment administered by experienced nurses under the direct guidance of live Marque physicians. We are able to offer our patients care for common acute medical ailments, lab and testing services, immunizations and vaccinations, and even referrals to specialists or primary care physicians if necessary. If the physician prescribes you medication, we can send the prescription to a pharmacy of your choice.

We accept most major insurance and select contracted plans. For those patients that do not have insurance or choose to pay in full at time of service, Bienestar offers straightforward pricing of $79, $99, $109 to see a Marque physician, depending on the complexity and length of visit.
