Today, we honor Indigenous Peoples’ Day, a time to recognize and celebrate the strength, resilience, and wisdom of Indigenous communities.
At Central Counseling Services, we acknowledge that the land we live and work on carries deep and enduring histories. We honor the Indigenous peoples whose stewardship, traditions, and teachings continue to shape and sustain our communities.
As we celebrate, we also hold space for awareness and action. We remember and mourn the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S) whose lives have been lost or remain missing. Their stories remind us of the ongoing need for justice, visibility, and safety for all Indigenous peoples.
May today serve as a call to listen, learn, and stand in solidarity with Indigenous voices—past, present, and future. Healing, connection, and resilience have always been at the heart of Indigenous cultures, and we honor that spirit today and every day.
