At Mission Pediatrics our pediatricians specialize in full-service pediatric care in Riverside county with 24-hour on-call hospital care. Our board certified pediatricians provide quality and accessible pediatric healthcare in Riverside, Perris, San Bernardino, and Redlands. With four locations our clinics are near the hospitals where our patients receive care – Riverside Community and Parkview Community. since 2003 was also the past President of the Riverside County Medical Association (RCMA). Together, Dr. Tim Watson, Dr. Ed Agas, Dr. Jesusa Aquino and Dr. Van Stralen provide pediatric care at the clinics and local hospitals. We also welcome Dr. Adeyinka Shoroye and Dr. Chris Arca to our team! Certified physician assistants, Kaneez Ali, Erin Fairfax, Janet Li, and Katie Porter along with nurse practitioners Lauren Hunt, Misty Navarete, Caralea Thompson and Julie Swerdlow-Wailes assist our physicians in providing compassionate clinical services at our offices. Our experienced office manager, Norma Lerma, facilitates efficient and pleasant office experiences. Our quality and experienced staff provide gentle and caring services to our precious patients. We provide 24-hour English and Spanish patient advice.

Mission Pediatrics Announces the Mission NEST Program: A New Era of Healing Beyond Medicine

Redlands, CA –August 22, 2025

Mission Pediatrics is proud to announce the launch of the Mission NEST Program (MNP), formerly known as the Enhanced Care Medicine (ECM) Clinic. This transformation reflects our deepened commitment to nurturing children and families with compassion, integrity, and resilience.

The Mission NEST Program – which stands for Nurture, Empower, Support, Trust – symbolizes a safe and restorative place for children and families facing complex emotional, behavioral, and psychosocial challenges. Inspired by our national park motif and our whimsical owl-in-a-tophat mascot, the new logo features baby birds in a nest, embodying both vulnerability and growth under the careful guidance of trusted caregivers.

“Our mission has always been to provide care that extends beyond medicine,” said Dr. Watson. “The NEST Program reflects that healing is not just about treatment, but about rebuilding resilience, restoring hope, and empowering families to thrive.”

The NEST Program is guided by the theme “Resilience and Restoration – Healing Beyond Medicine.” It will serve as a beacon of integrity and collaboration, bringing together physicians, therapists, and families to ensure every child has the opportunity to flourish in a safe and supportive environment.

By renaming and reframing ECM into MNP – Mission NEST Program, Mission Pediatrics continues its tradition of innovation, compassion, and community-centered care.
