Today, our participants in East Providence received a batch of handmade mugs from Brown University's pottery club. The student-run group made ceramic mugs that prioritize accessibility for older adults. The mugs are lightweight and finished with a matte glaze that makes them easier to grip.

Special thanks to student Soyu Hong (pictured) who approached us about the project. She will bring back feedback from PACE participants so that the club can make a second batch of mugs in the future that are even more tailored to our community’s needs.

As an organization that supports older adults, accessibility is an important priority. Members of the PACE-RI team will be in attendance at the Rhode Island Accessibility Summit on May 5, and we're excited to help spread the word about this event!

🌍 The clock is ticking — register today.

The Rhode Island Accessibility Summit is only 9 days away.

IMPORTANT: This event is for EVERYONE.

Whether you’re part of the Disability community, an ally, a business owner, an architect, a policymaker, a parent, a student — this is where you can have your voice heard.

The United States Access Board will be our guest, which includes representation from at least 9 federal agencies, plus advocates from across the country.

If you want true inclusion — not just talk, but action…
If you want to be in rooms where barriers get broken down…
If you want to build a state where everyone has a seat at the table…

This is the place to be.

May 5 | Bally's Lincoln hosted by RAMP
Accessibility isn’t optional. Inclusion isn’t a favor.

It's become an annual tradition to welcome Stonington High School students to PACE-Westerly each April.

During this week's visit, students learned about the PACE program, toured the day center, and spent meaningful time with our participants: from playing games, to making art, to sharing conversation.

Special thanks to this group of students for brightening up our day. We're always grateful for opportunities to bring generations together in our community!

Happy Earth Day!

Here are some moments from the "Grow with PACE-RI" event at our East Providence site. Participants and staff members came together to paint mini pots—afterwards, they were able to plant succulents in their personalized pot and bring them home!

We were honored to receive the Dean's Community Partner Award from the Brown University School of Public Health . CEO Joan Kwiatkowski, Chief of Organizational Performance Liz Boucher, and Education Associate Trish Suess attended the awards ceremony on Thursday

We have built a strong relationship with Brown SPH over the past few years, with students from the program contributing to PACE-RI in meaningful ways. Among other projects, interns have helped improve the way we respond to phone calls from participants, surveyed health literacy in our population, and supported grant writing projects.

This partnership gives students a chance to work on projects that a have real impact on older adults in our community, and gives us an opportunity to share the PACE model of care with future public health leaders.

Special thanks to Dean Dr. Francesca Beaudoin, Director of Community Engagement Sarah Bouchard, and MPH student Lily Rayor for their ongoing support.

Congratulations to the remarkable students and faculty who also received awards at yesterday's ceremony!

Spring has sprung, and flowers are coming soon at PACE-Woonsocket!

Recently, our participants planted their favorite flower seeds in starter pots. Later in the season, we'll transplant them into our raised beds to brighten up the patio!

Have you heard the news? As of April, there are more than 500 participants enrolled in PACE-RI!

We are so appreciative of our hardworking staff whose compassion and skill have helped us reach this longtime goal.

We celebrated our staff in style with a buffet luncheon and cake for dessert. Tomorrow, we'll celebrate with a special meal for our PACE participants!

This week, CEO Joan Kwiatkowski and Chief of External Affairs Tom Boucher attended the annual National PACE Association Spring Policy Forum in Washington, D.C.

Day One included a full agenda of presentations from industry experts, including Joan, who spoke about our efforts to bring PACE to Block Island as part of the Rural Health Transformation Program.

The next day, Tom met with Representative Seth Magaziner and his legislative assistant Raisa Majid, Jill Boland from Senator Jack Reed's office, Ally Crha from Senator Sheldon Whitehouse 's office, and Jordyn Ramsey from Congressman Gabe Amo's office.
