Judith E. Gravante, age 81, of Cinnaminson, NJ and formerly of Whiting, NJ, passed peacefully on October 7, 2025…….

Judith was a proud Registered Nurse, completing her nursing education at Ocean County College. She worked for over twenty years in several hospitals in and around Union County, NJ, retiring from Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ. Judith’s caring nature led her to take great care of her patients, and she always put everyone’s needs before her own. She never said “no” when her family or friends were in need of her help…….

Judith was predeceased by her parents, Bessie (nee’ MacGeorge) and Oscar J. Keller. She is survived by her three sons, Jerry J. Gravante and his wife Maureen, Nick Gravante and Jim Gravante. Also surviving are her dear sisters, Bertha Giroux (husband, Art), Betty Garbarino (late husband, Joe) and Cathy Bennett (husband, Kelly), as well as by her loving grandchildren, Megan Cobleigh (husband, Rob), Chris Gravante (wife, Abby) and Hannah Gravante and her dear great-grandchildren, Wyatt & Theo Cobleigh and Zarina Gravante.

Marie Frances Buchman, age 89, lifelong resident of the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, passed peacefully on October 3, 2025…

Marie is survived by her beloved daughter, Joanne Cannon and her husband Matthew Cannon of Delran, NJ, and by her dear grandchildren, Jenna Rae Cannon (Jeana Bradley), Lyndsey Leah Torre (Steve Torre) and Kerrie Lynn Cannon. Also surviving are her loving great-grandchildren, Cameron and Tatum Torre. Marie was predeceased by loving husband, William J. Buchman, her parents Ruth and Harry Deitz, and by her siblings, Harry, Ruth and Florence.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM, and to attend her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM, all at Resurrection Parish, Holy Name Church, 260 Conrow Road, Delran, NJ 08077.

Richard S. Figiel of Cinnaminson passed away peacefully at home on October 3rd, 2025, he was 83.

Richard was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Stephen and Tessie (nee Kaminski.) He enjoyed The Poconos, especially his favorite place, Bear Creek Lakes.

Richard is survived by his wife, Regina, sons, Stephen (Kristie), Richard (Jamie), grandchildren, Brooke, Madison, Rebecca, Robert, Riley, and great-grandson, Ryder. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Heaney.

Servies for Richard will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Richard’s name may be made to Samaritan Hospice at www.samaritannj.org

Richard J. Fynan (“Rick”), age 68, lifelong resident of Riverside, NJ, passed peacefully on September 29, 2025, surrounded by his family……

Rick was predeceased by his parents, June and Richard F. Fynan, sister-in-law, Gracie Dugan, and nephew Willie Yamb . He is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa A. Fynan, his dear son, Matt Dugan, and his siblings, Keith J. Fynan (Jill), Pamela J. Reeder, Barbara J. Fynan and Todd J. Fynan (Andrea) along with their children, Kerryn, Kelsey, Chelsea, Jared, Jacob (Brianna), Merissa, Mae, Courtney, and Thomas. Also surviving are his sisters-in-law, Patty Forker and Ann Marie Yamb (William), along with their children, Jessa Yamb (Diana Vasquez), Corey Forker. Rick is also survived by his great nieces & nephews, Avery, Easton, Declan, Damian and Cameron, as well as by his close and lifelong friends.

A gathering to Celebrate Rick’s Life will be held on October 11, 2025. Additional details on location and times will be updated here as soon as available, all of his family, friends, colleagues and neighbors are welcome to attend.

Harry Burns Johnstone, age 84, of Cinnaminson, NJ, passed away on September 27, 2025.

Born in 1941 to Katherine M. (née Burns) and Harry W. Johnstone at Zurbrugg Hospital in Riverside, NJ, Harry spent most of his life in the Riverside area. He graduated from Riverside High School, where he played on the 1959 state championship basketball team — a memory he was proud of for the rest of his life. He continued his basketball journey at Campbell College in North Carolina, earning a degree in education, and later went on to receive his master’s from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

After college, Harry returned home to Riverside and began a 35-year teaching career at Riverside High School. He taught science, anatomy, and physiology — and for many students, he was the teacher they never forgot. Alongside teaching, he coached basketball, girls’ soccer, and softball, continuing to coach even after he officially retired…..

A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the WEBER FUNERL HOME, 112 Broad Street, Riverton, NJ 08077. Burial at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, will be private.

Michael J. Ward, age 82, longtime resident of Riverton, NJ passed peacefully at his home on August 26, 2025.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Anna May (nee’ Bolger) and Daniel J. Ward, his sister, Maryann Pray (nee’ Ward), and brother, Daniel J. Ward, Jr.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 58-years, Nancy Ward (nee’ Mahn), their loving son, Scott M. Ward and his wife Suzanne Ward (nee’ Tracey), and dear grandchildren, Kallan S. Ward, Karrigan P. Ward and Kaegan F. Ward. He is also survived by his; sister Karen Skalski (nee’ Ward) and her husband Richard Skalski; brother-in-law Burke Pray; sister-in-law Madelyn Ward (nee’ Pietuszka); sister-in-law Bonnie Weeks (nee’ Mahn); and by several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, contributions in his memory to The American Cancer Society would be preferred.

Jane Winifred McCarter passed from our world Saturday August 9, 2025…..

Jane attended Palmyra Public Schools. She completed the LPN nursing program in 1973 and worked with Zurbrugg Memorial Hospital and Rancocas Valley Hospital as an operating room nurse through February 2000.

Jane was married to Eli Winford McCarter, Jr. January 7, 1956 (July 22, 1935 - November 18, 2024) and is survived by son Eli Winford McCarter III; daughters Jane Marie McCarter and Amy Jo (McCarter) Brown. Jane was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Beth (McCarter) McQuaid (March 31, 1959 - August 7, 2016) and son, Aaron Wade McCarter (April 23, 1963 - January 23, 2017). Eli and Jane were blessed with 10 grandchildren. And will be remembered fondly by nieces, nephews, and her many friends.
