🌟 Meet Tonya Rafferty, RN/Case Manager 🌟
Tonya Rafferty, formerly known as Tonya Lindbo, serves as a dedicated Nurse Case Manager with a heart deeply rooted in Wyoming’s uranium mining communities. Her connection to this work is personal — her stepfather was part of the program and one of the last at Pathfinder before it closed. With generations of her family involved in the uranium mining industry — from her grandparents and parents to aunts and uncles — Tonya’s story is one of legacy, compassion, and purpose.
Born in Riverton and later raised in Shirley Basin,
Tonya’s passion for this program comes from a profound sense of family and community. “These are my people,” she often says — and that belief drives her every day. She takes great pride in helping clients navigate their care, ensuring they receive the respect, compassion, and benefits they truly deserve.
When she learned the years had reopened, Tonya’s heart was full — knowing so many friends and family who have since passed would have benefited from this program. Her mission now is to reach as many individuals as possible, helping them secure their RECA benefits and walking beside them in their care journey.
Outside of work, Tonya enjoys spending her summers fishing in Wyoming’s mountain streams, tending to her garden, cheering on her grandkids at their sporting events, and leading worship with her church family. She also loves cooking for her family during celebrations and gatherings.
Tonya’s love for Wyoming and its people shines through everything she does. She believes in honoring individuals by giving them autonomy and dignity in how they wish to live and be cared for. “It is truly an honor to serve,” she says — and everyone who knows her can see just how deeply she means it. 💛
