Spring River Mental Health & Wellness, Inc. is honored to join fellow community partners in “Standing in the Gap: Rural & Frontier Access to Mental Health Care — A Faith-Based Perspective.”

Lynette Downing LCP, LCAC, will take part in the panel discussion, offering insights on how community-based services make a difference in supporting individuals with lived experience of mental illness and their families.
Together, we’re working to support families across rural communities.

Spring River Mental Health & Wellness, Inc. would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas for their generous grant funding through the 2025 General Funds – Youth Activities, and for their continued support of our mission.

The Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas hosts individual charitable funds created by donors who share a passion for giving back to their community. Grants from these funds make a meaningful difference in the lives of people throughout Southeast Kansas and beyond.

Thanks to this generous support, Pathfinders, our psychosocial rehabilitation program, was able to purchase new curriculum materials and cooperative learning activities designed to strengthen positive social skills and promote social-emotional learning (SEL). These resources empower the children we serve to build healthy relationships, communicate effectively, and express themselves in positive, meaningful ways.

We are truly grateful to the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas for investing in the well-being of youth in Cherokee County and for helping us create a safe, supportive environment where growth and mental health can thrive.
