What makes Help For Health's hospice home special and unique? The "little" extras our nurses and staff do every day to bring a smile to our clients faces. Thank you Rachael, Ann and First Baptist Church for sharing your talents. π

Help for Health is a non-profit hospice organization established in Fremont County. We also provide a multitude of other services to the residents of this community. The Health Van began in 1996. The mission of the Health Van was to transport patients to and from Casper Wyoming to receive radiation treatments for cancer that are not available locally. In recent years it was utilized to transport patients to Lander, Wy. The Health Van is no longer running. Hospice Care was added in 2008 after the residents of Fremont County voted to impose a 1% capital sale to build a residential hospice home. Help for Health is one of two hospices in Fremont County and the only non-profit hospice care provider in the area. We provide outpatient hospice care in patients homes or inpatient care in our residential hospice home. The Home was the brain child of the late Mary Neil. She had a vision of providing a comfortable home like environment to individuals who may otherwise live alone and die alone. After the home was built, Help for Health established a full service, Medicare Certified hospice care program to provide hospice care to patients regardless of where the individual resides. Help for Health also provides specialized hospice care to residents of long-term care facilities. The Tough Enough to Help Cancer Fund came under our control in 2010. The fund's humble beginnings started with a pink pair of chaps and a heartfelt desire to establish a fund that would financially assist Fremont County Residents who have been diagnosed with cancer.
We also host a foot clinic each month at the Riverton and Lander Senior Centers. The foot clinic is held on the 3rd Thursday of every month and is $15, we have an RN and trained CNAβs who complete foot and nail care for diabetics, clients on blood thinners and anyone who could use a little assistance. For appointments please contact your local Senior Center. Lander (307) 332-2746. Riverton (307) 856-6332. Help for Health continues to add programs and services to fill the gaps in the health care needs of our community. It is our mission to "Honor our commitment to serve our community one person at a time". For more information please visit us at http://helpforhealthwy.org
