Dr. Daniel Hauck and the Arrow Mountain Dental team would like to wish Dr. Eugene Hauck a Happy 90th Birthday!!
At 90 years young, Gene Hauck is celebrating a lifetime packed with curiosity, adventure, and a deep love of learning that began in Hardin, Montana, where he was born on February 19, 1936.
Growing up, Gene played football and basketball and loved those sports.
His passion for science carried him through an impressive academic journey, earning degrees from Montana State with his bachelor degree, the University of Utah for his master’s, and ultimately a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Northern Colorado.
But one of the greatest discoveries of his life happened not in a lab — but in Lovell, where he was teaching and coaching and met Ruth Mortensen.
They were married in 1962.
From there, Gene went on to teach at Natrona County High School and Kelly Walsh High School.
In 1983, the Hauck family moved to Riverton, where Gene joined Central Wyoming College. He became one of the first professors in the nursing program, teaching microbiology and chemistry until he retired.
Gene also founded Hauck Analytical Services, a business still operating today. His work with the oil companies took him to Kazakhstan and Angola after his retirement from CWC. He continued working there as long as his health allowed.
Gene has also dedicated years of service as an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints where he made many good friends.
His children and grandchildren have served missions throughout the world which Gene was very proud of.
Today,February 19th, Gene celebrates his 90th birthday surrounded by family and friends, He has 4 children, 16 grand children and 25 great‑grandchildren — each one a joyful part of his family.
Happy Birthday Geno! 🎂
