April is Occupational Therapy Month, and we are celebrating the incredible impact our OTs make every single day 💚

From helping kids build confidence and independence, to supporting individuals in regaining the skills that matter most in their daily lives—our Occupational Therapists truly change lives in meaningful ways.

This month (and every month), we are so grateful for the compassion, creativity, and dedication our OT team brings to our patients, families, and community.

"What do I love most about being a Pediatric OT? I get to be 100% myself. Happy, goofy, quiet, loud or sad….I meet each person right where they are, and can sincerely be myself. Getting to know each child, and how I can help them grow, fuels me. If only each of them knew how much they help me grow, too," said Rogers. Rogers has been an OT for almost 26 years!

"I love OT because we are able to address the whole person and any meaningful activity in their lives! We get to dig down and find the root cause of dysfunction and help them grow in independence and quality of life! Kids are so much fun and in the schools we are often helping kids with sensory motor, fine motor, and visual motor deficits that affect their ability to perform daily living skills or academic activities that are their “occupations” at this stage of life," said Berg. Berg has been an OT for 18 years, 12 of those years in the school system.”

PTs, DPTs Jorden James, Rachel Goff, Delaney Umholtz and PTA Rachael Medow took time out of the clinic to visit Shoshoni Career Day and inform students about the field of Physical Therapy and being a PT/PTA! Our team spoke about FTG’s robust services and specialties. A few topics they dove more into were Blood Flow Restriction (BFR), Balance, Vertigo, and manual techniques - specifically the Therapen. These opportunities to get out and educate our community and youth are so enriching for both us and the people we are sharing knowledge with.
