For all of the soon-to-be mama's who are sooo very ready for that baby to arrive, here's a fun fact: Your babies lungs are what determine when you'll go into labor. Their lungs secrete surfactant, which allows them to breathe outside the womb. That surfactant produces a protein which acts as a hormone of labor that signals to your body when your baby's lungs are sufficiently mature to withstand the important transition to breathing. Love sharing this (with permission)…. One of the babies that Mercier Therapy helped the parents to conceive wearing the bib he “earned” by virtue of his mom getting regular prenatal massages. His mom is now expecting baby #2. So honored to share this journey.
