It’s officially Christmas season ! Every year we have a patient tree where people choose a patient (or two) they would like to buy a Christmas gift for ! I wanted to get the list out as soon as possible so people had enough time ♥️ As always if you purchase a gift one of us will pick the gift up and deliver to the patient with a tag showing who it’s from, if you don’t have time to shop but want to give, we have multiple ways to accept donations. Feel free to send me a message and I can share my cash app, Venmo or Zelle ! Ty for all the support we receive, every year it gets bigger and better !! I will add things as the case managers bring needs/wants to my attention, thank you in advance to anyone who is willing to help !

Gratitude: noun
the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

My pastor recently said “Generosity & Gratitude go hand in hand— Gratitude doesn’t just fill your cup, it opens your hands. When you give out of gratitude you plant seeds of hope in someone else’s life.”

We are so grateful we get to serve this community & give back this holiday season! Thank you to those who made donations, we were able to give to 2 group homes and will be delivering meals to multiple patients on Thanksgiving day !!

As always a HUGE shout out to our team for being just as excited to give back as we are ♥️

Water: Donating water with Operation BBQ Relief, Monday, Oct. 14, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. ET

SUN CITY CENTER

Operation BBQ Relief, in conjunction with Florida Senator Jay Collins, Florida Representative Danny Alvarez, and Former Commissioner Mike Owen have arranged for 2,000 hot meals to be handed out at the Sun City Center Emergency Squad (720 Ray Watson Dr, Sun City Center, FL) this afternoon, beginning at 5:30 p.m. today, Sunday, October 13, 2024. The hot meal will also come with a self stable breakfast.

In addition, there will be 2,000 hot meals served Monday, October 14, through Sunday, October 20 at 12:00 p.m. each day. They will be available at 2 different locations in Sun City Center:

1. King's Point, 1900 Clubhouse Dr, Sun City Center, FL 33573

2. SCCCA, 1009 N. Pebble Beach Blvd, Sun City Center, FL 33573

GUESSS WHAT DAY IT ISSSSS ??!!!!

It’s the 3rd Monday of the month, do you know what that means ? It was Parkinson’s & caregiver support group day !!! ACL has teamed up with Sun Towers Retirement community to hold Parkinson’s Caregiver support. From 1:30-2:30 the patient (and their caregiver) have a guest speaker provided by Sun Towers. From 2:30-3:30 the Parkinson’s pt hangs back with ACL staff while we provide Neuromuscular re education activities & the caregiver goes with with a licensed counselor who provides a safe place to ask questions and meet people in the same walk of life as they are ♥️

What are neuromuscular reeducation exercises?
Neuromuscular re-education is a technique used to restore movement patterns through the repetitive motion to retrain control centers of the brain.

The 3rd Monday is always my favorite 😍
This is a FREE group to anyone so If you or someone you know has Parkinson’s please come and see us , we would love to have you !!
