🎉🐉 Save the Date – Dragon Festival! 🐉🎉

Dawson PTA presents our biggest event of the year – Dragon Festival!

📅 Friday, October 24th
🕕 6:00–8:00 PM

✨ Tickets will go on sale starting October 1st. A QR flyer will also be sent home that day for easy purchasing.

We are busy planning to make this event fun, smooth, and successful for all of our Dawson Dragons! 🐉💚

🍂 Have extra fall decorations you no longer need? We’d love your donations to help make our event festive!

🔹 This event is exclusive to Dawson Elementary students and their families and proudly hosted by your PTA.

🌟 Family First Friday! 🌟

This week’s spotlight is on Learn To Be—a nonprofit that offers FREE, one-on-one online tutoring for students in math, reading, and more. 📚💻

Here’s why families love it:
✅ Personalized 1:1 tutoring with the same tutor each session
✅ Flexible online schedule
✅ 100% free for families

💡 Important: Families must apply to qualify.

Students may be eligible if they meet at least one of these criteria:
• Receive free or reduced-price lunch
• Family qualifies for government assistance
• Student has an IEP, 504 plan, or is in special education
• Student is a foster child or experiencing homelessness
• Student lives in a single-parent home

✨💚 What an AMAZING night at Family Glow Bingo! 💚✨

We had our biggest turnout yet — thank you to all of the incredible Dawson families who came out to join the fun! 🐉💡

A huge shout-out to our wonderful administration, teachers, parents, and volunteers who made this night possible. We couldn’t do it without you!

Special thanks to our 5th grade team for selling candy + soda 🍬🥤 and to all the parents who supported them!

And an extra BIG thank you to Mathnasium of Riverview for donating such an awesome raffle basket — it was a hit! 🎉📚

✨🐉 Family Glow Bingo is TONIGHT! 🐉✨

🎟 Reminder: This is a ticketed event—you must have tickets to enter. If you’re on the waitlist, check your email as we’ve been contacting families.

📍 Check-In: Entry will be at the cafeteria doors. Doors open at 6:00 PM. Please stop by the check-in booth outside of the cafeteria before entering.

🍬 Concessions: 5th grade will be selling candy bars and sodas—cash only!

🍕 Each person will receive: one slice of pizza, a bag of chips, a cookie and a water.
(Food will be available while supplies last!)

💡 Dress in something fun that will GLOW—we can’t wait to see everyone! 🎉
