A Woman Is Told
Be soft, but not too gentle. Be strong, but not so much
that your ambition is mistaken for a need to control.
Be a home, but do not be a house you can be owned.
Be a maker of worlds,
but keep the dishes clean.
Be a fire, but only for warmth,
never a blaze that burns too bright
or frightens with its intensity.
Be a quiet, conventional girl,
but make sure you are heard.
Be a woman with gumption and a tongue to articulate,
but speak with a smile,
and never a tone that suggests you are upset.

I recently learned about the powerful book "The Body Keeps the Score" by Bessel van der Kolk, and I wanted to share how Reiki can be a valuable tool in healing from trauma.

The book highlights the impact of trauma on our bodies and minds, and how traditional talk therapy may not always be enough to release deep-seated trauma. That's where Reiki comes in!

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive modality that can help:
