My YouTube talks (and vuMedi); I have 53+ videos on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/...or just search lawrence Robbins M.D. on YouTube), mostly headache related..lots of psychiatric info too...

and on VuMedi (sort of the Youtube for Medicine) I have 40 talks: you have to register (all free, and they do welcome the public) and search Lawrence Robbins..my videos pop up......Lots of subjects...

AI and medicine: for research its pretty good; I'm doing a new talk/article on bipedalism (walking on all two feet, as opposed to 4) and anatomy: what we had to change, or evolution changed, to accommodate walking upright. Lots of changes. also, when and why did this occur?...fascinating...
So I used ChatGPT plus Deep Research to help. And it does. there is a real role for research and AI in medicine.

The role, good and bad, of AI: in medicine, it probably will replace some jobs. Same in law. What i really fear is massive job loss: if we get to 15% unemployment levels we are in trouble: people, besides money of course, need meaningful work. The first to go will/has been computer programming jobs. and others have lost their jobs also (already). We are in the first inning of this thing....

Well, now the CGRP monoclonal antibodies are approved, at least one of them, for children and adolescents; i don't like that idea; unlike Botox, which is uber-safe, these antibody shots do have alot of hidden side effects; CGRP is important in many organ systems, going back in species for 380 million years. They are good regarding efficacy, and if someone has frequent headaches, and a few other meds/Botox have not worked, these injections are viable. BUT not really tested in kids, and there are major theoretical concerns....

Honduran homes that have dirty water, establishing a headache center
in Honduras, and helping poor Hondurans with autism. In Chicago we will be focusing on providing free clothing and medical care to poor immigrants.
Our nonprofit, the American Headache Association, pays no salaries; usually most of the overhead is covered by myself. Any donation is GREATLY appreciated. Donations are tax deductible.

As for me, Im fine; probably either cured of prostate cancer (had surgery, radiation, hormonal medicine) or 10 year+ remission; looks alot better than it did...
I'm very involved teaching (neurology residents and Headache Fellowship doctors), and my nonprofit (lots of projects with the nonprofit: free clinic in Honduras, free vitamins for pregnant women in Honduras, providing clothing and medical care for immigrants near Chicago (new project) and other stuff......

we are in the midst of moving and shutting down; reluctantly I might add(due to health reasons mainly); I will try and keep people updated as to new developments and issues in the headache world; meanwhile I have 37+ videos on my YouTube channel (on YouTube search Lawrence Robbins, M.D. ) and also on VuMedi (register under any area of medicine you are interested in, then search me)......I do have a popular new book out, not expensive (at least not expensive on kindle and audio, sort of expensive softcover) "Neurology and Psychiatry" on Amazon

I have worked or been on call, since med school began, 13,701 days or so; today (Wednesday) is the last day of work before retirement. Bittersweet. I will try and keep everyone updated on headaches and medicine etc. on this page....and you can message me (as soon as this Luddite figures out how to unlock myself on messenger i can answer messages hahahaha).....

I'm close to retiring (due to medical stuff but I'll be all ok); I have alot to do (teach resdients/students, play hockey and do hot Pilates, attend to my clinics in Honduras and help Honduran immigrants in the chicago area, and 8 others..)but what I will miss is talking to all of my incredible patients..so pleas keep in touch here or on my email lrobb98@aol.com....I'll answer on messenger here as soon as I figure out how to unlock it....Luddite Larry......Robbins, M.D.
