Meet Kathryn — founder, CEO, mom, DriTri finisher. The night before DriTri, she had an anxiety dream that she was drowning. As a founder and CEO of a growing company, she’s used to high-pressure moments. But this time? The nerves weren’t about business. They were about stepping into the studio and taking on DriTri.​

1. What made you walk through our doors for the first time?
I was getting inconsistent with my workouts when I tried to do at home. With encouragement from my friends, Ijoined OTF to improve consistency.

2. What’s a goal you’re currently working toward at OTF?Goal always is to show up 5 times a week at OTF consistently.

3. What advice would you give someone starting OTF for the first time?Stick to a routine atleast for 3 months, dont quit early. You will thank yourself later

4. If you had to describe OTF in one word, what would it be2 words - “it works”

5. What’s your favorite floor exercise or lift?
Benchpress, Arnold press

6. What’s your favorite thing to do outside of OTF?
Family time and trying new cuisine

A member since the studio first opened, Joey says it’s the welcoming staff, motivating coaches, and the members around him that keep him coming back. Seeing people of all ages show up and give their best every day inspires him to push himself even further — and, as he puts it, sometimes it’s about keeping up with the younger ones, too.​

Staying consistent is easier and, let’s be honest, more fun when you don’t do it alone. 🧡​

Gabby and her mom Kathleen from OTF Ladue take class together three times a week, keeping each other accountable and turning workouts into something they truly enjoy together.​

As Gabby puts it, “Usually if we’re coming in the morning together, we also drive together, so there’s no option of canceling because she will be outside my house. It also pushes us in class because I don’t want her to get more splats than me! It’s also just fun because we’re BFFs!”​

We love seeing the bonds that grow stronger both inside and outside the studio. Sometimes the best motivation is knowing someone is literally waiting outside your house so you can’t cancel. 😆

1. What made you walk through our doors for the first time?)
My therapist had recommended that I start moving my body and
suggested I try OTF. I thought it would be more generative than the at home
youtube classes I was doing.

2. What’s a goal you’re currently working toward at OTF?
I am currently working towards feeling stronger and improving my mental health.

3. What advice would you give someone starting OTF for the first time?
Don’t be afraid to walk in as you are and comparison is the thief of joy.

4. If you had to describe OTF in one word, what would it be
Safe

5. What’s your favorite floor exercise or lift?
I really like the dumbbell row on one knee, I enjoy using my core to balance while lifting a weight.

6. What’s your favorite thing to do outside of OTF?
I enjoy making miniature dioramas!

7. Fun fact about you that most people wouldn’t guess?
I have traveled to over 50 countries and gone skydiving 5 times.

Backed by the science of Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (or EPOC), Orangetheory’s heart rate monitored training is designed to maintain a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. We call it the afterburn. Our members burn an estimated 500 to 1,000 calories in 60 minutes. And keep burning calories for up to 36 hours.
