Roxana Molina-Lopez, MSPT, NCPT, Owner of Myofascial Healing and Pilates
Inspired to go into healthcare by my grandparents, I have made it my mission
in life to help others find freedom of movement to participate in the activities
that they enjoy the most. I truly enjoy helping others find their balance in
whole body healthcare, using physical therapy, myofascial release, other
manual techniques, and Pilates. I believe that by sharing my knowledge of
22+ years of physical therapy school, many courses, experiences, and
influences from top educators, I will be able to make a difference in someone’s
life. My grandfather was a prominent podiatrist and business man in Cuba and my
grandmother regularly attended those in need at her church in Havana. As a
child, I would frequently see my grandmother helping the sick as a self-made
nurse even when there was political distress, which was daily. This dedication
to helping others is an intrinsic part of my life. Born in Cuba, I immigrated to South Florida in 1982 at 6 years old. I had the
privilege to take Anatomy in high school with a wonderful teacher that inspired
me to take my passion further therefore at 16, I volunteered over 3,000 hours
at several physical therapy clinics and at local hospitals. The more I
volunteered, the more I knew that this was my life calling and pursued my
Master’s from Florida International University in Miami, FL in 2002 in physical
therapy (PT). After working in several traditional PT clinics for years, I realized
that there was a better approach to helping my patients heal that begins with a
one on one approach. This approach enables time to learn from the person in
front of me and to treat the person and not the diagnosis. I have been trained
and continue to learn from John Barnes, PT in myofascial release since 2017. Ihave also been trained by Brent Anderson, PT, Phd, OCS, NCPT, at Polestar
Pilates where I am an educator and faculty member for the
Pilates teacher training program. In my practice, I treat a range of conditions and have
experience with chronic pain, burns, scars, tongue ties, post op joint surgeries, post
mastectomies and reconstructions, conditions such as scoliosis and osteoporosis,
spinal cord injuries, post strokes, TMJ issues, and all ages from babies to adults. As I
continue in my practice, I humble myself with every person that I meet as a new
opportunity for continued learning. Every person has their own life stories embedded in
their fascia. I am here to help guide you to freedom from fascial restrictions, pain, and
return to the life you were meant to live, happy and pain free.
