This class supports full-body strength, especially in the core, legs, and shoulders, while helping you learn how to move with control rather than momentum.

This video is ideal for yoga beginners, students starting a home yoga practice, or anyone looking for a short Ashtanga flow that prioritizes form, focus, and breath. You’ll also receive practical yoga tips for beginners to help you understand how Ashtanga Yoga builds strength and flexibility over time.

Kapotasana (King Pigeon Pose) is one of the most challenging and misunderstood backbends in Ashtanga Yoga. In this video, we explore an important and often overlooked question: should you practice Kapotasana if you have back pain? Whether you are new to yoga, building a home yoga practice, or developing strength and flexibility safely, this class will help you make informed choices on your mat.

You’ll learn how Kapotasana affects the spine, hips, shoulders, and nervous system, and how back pain, low back compression, or spinal sensitivity can change how this pose should be approached. This is not about forcing flexibility — it’s about intelligent sequencing, proper preparation, and sustainable strength, especially within an Ashtanga Yoga practice.

This video offers practical yoga tips for beginners, including modifications, awareness cues, and when it may be appropriate to pause, regress, or avoid Kapotasana altogether. You’ll also gain insight into how advanced poses fit into a long-term yoga journey rooted in breath, awareness, and consistency.

If you’re looking for safe yoga for back pain, beginner-friendly Ashtanga guidance, or strength-building yoga you can practice at home, this video is for you.
