There are some conversations that stay with you long after they end. This is one of them.

In this episode of the Native Yoga Toddcast, I sit down with Kyung Pak, a yoga teacher whose life is a powerful reflection of resilience, devotion, and inner transformation. From growing up in South Korea to building a life in the United States, Kyung shares what it really looks like to navigate the immigrant experience while facing life’s deeper challenges.

We talk about her journey through single motherhood, raising a child with Down syndrome, and the path that led her from working as a paralegal to becoming a licensed lawyer. Through it all, yoga became more than just a practice. It became her anchor, her clarity, and her way forward.

Kyung also opens up about her years studying with Dharma Mittra and Tim Miller, and how those teachings shaped the way she now shares yoga, spirituality, and life with others.

This conversation touches on mental health, healing, spirituality, and what it means to truly cultivate an abundant mindset. Not as an idea, but as something you live and embody.

If you’re moving through challenges, searching for clarity, or just need a reminder of what’s possible, this episode is worth your time.

Listen now and take something with you into your own practice and your own life.

Listen to new podcast with .and.theotherside titled Empath & Psychic Abilities with Polly Green: How to Trust Your Intuition | Native Yoga Toddcast

🎧Comment ‘OTHERSIDE’ to get the link to the episode

I just released a new episode of the Native Yoga Toddcast with Polly Green. Polly is a professional empath, psychic, and medium and we had a really interesting conversation about intuition, sensitivity to energy, and the path of spiritual growth.

Polly shares her story of growing up as a highly sensitive kid and how that awareness of emotions and energy shaped her life. Before fully stepping into her work as an empath and medium she spent years whitewater kayaking and traveling, eventually spending time in India and Bali where she deepened her practice of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. Those experiences helped her understand and trust the intuitive abilities she had felt since childhood.

Now living in California, Polly works with people who are learning to understand their empathic nature, strengthen their intuition, and navigate life with more clarity and confidence.

In this episode we talk about what it actually means to be an empath, how to work with emotional overwhelm, how intuition develops, and how facing fear can lead to unexpected growth and transformation.

If you are curious about empathy, intuition, psychic awareness, or the connection between yoga, meditation, and spiritual development, I think you will find this conversation interesting.

In this episode you will learn:

When the world feels uncertain, the most powerful thing we can do is come back to the body and the breath.

This 20-minute grounding yoga practice is designed to calm the nervous system, regulate stress, and help you feel steady even when global events feel overwhelming.

Rather than reacting to the noise, we practice returning to breath, sensation, and presence.

This is a slow, mindful sequence focused on:
• Nervous system regulation
• Gentle movement
• Breath awareness
• Feeling safe in your body

You don’t need experience. Just a quiet space and a willingness to slow down.

In times of instability, steadiness is a practice.

This grounding yoga practice is designed to calm the nervous system and gently soften the way we perceive experience. Rather than trying to fix or change anything, the practice invites a return to steadiness through slow, mindful yoga and embodied awareness.

The movements are simple and intentional, offering a grounding practice that supports nervous system regulation, stress relief, and mental balance. This is a gentle yoga practice for times of mental exhaustion, anxiety, or overthinking, when the mind feels polarized or split into opposites.

Through mindful movement and moments of stillness, we explore how grounding yoga can help soften reactivity and bring awareness back into the body. This practice emphasizes presence, sensation, and contact with the ground, allowing the nervous system to settle naturally.

This calming yoga practice is suitable for all levels and can be especially supportive if you’re looking for yoga for relaxation, emotional regulation, or a slow, somatic approach to reconnecting with the present moment.

Practice at your own pace, rest when needed, and allow the experience to unfold without expectation.
