The Magnus Bears project was born from love, loss, and the unwavering spirit of giving. It honors the life of Magnus Grey, a child whose memory continues to inspire acts of kindness and healing. Each year, Magnus' family and supporters come together to give back in meaningful ways, and this year, they introduced Magnus Bears, soft, comforting companions for children in hospitals.
This initiative is especially close to our hearts because Meghan Flythe, Magnus’ mom, is a registered nurse at ECU Health North Hospital. Her compassion and dedication to caring for others shine through in every bear, making this a deeply personal act of love and service. These bears are more than just plush toys, they’re symbols of courage, comfort and connection for children facing medical challenges.
Whether a child is undergoing a procedure or simply having a tough day, "Magnus' Bear" offers a hug and a reminder that they’re not alone. We’re proud to have donated these bears to ECU Health North Hospital, where they’ll bring hope and healing to children who need it most.
