Weekend activity ideas from our Wellness Program director, Zack Bordone.

- Take a nature walk or easy hike. A gentle walk outdoors can boost mood, reduce stress, and improve cardiovascular health.

- Try a beginner yoga or stretching session. Great for flexibility, relaxation, and relieving tension after a long week.

- Join a local community fitness class. Whether it’s Zumba, water aerobics, or chair exercises, moving with others builds connection and motivation.

Weekend Wrap-Up with DrugCo!

This weekend was filled with meaningful connections and celebrations!

📍 Boise, Idaho – Matthew Tache enjoyed a fantastic dinner, bringing people together over great food and conversation.

📍 Virginia – Zack and Donna Bordone represented DrugCo at the 50th Anniversary of the Virginia Hemophilia Foundation, supporting a cause that continues to make a difference in the bleeding disorders community.

Did you know?

While hemophilia is often categorized as a ‘male disorder,’ females can have it too! Females with hemophilia may experience excessive bleeding and easy bruising due to low clotting factors. In fact, some women are ‘silent carriers’ and don’t realize they have mild symptoms!

In 1986, President Ronald Reagan declared March as National Hemophilia Awareness Month, bringing attention to Hemophilia and what it meant living with the condition. However, later it became clear that there were other Bleeding Disorders that deserved advocacy and recognition. 🩸

In 2016, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services renamed the month Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month. This change recognized other conditions like Von Willebrand Disease, Glanzmann Thrombasthenia, and various Factor Deficiencies, many of which require lifelong treatment management. 🗓️
