Melissa specializes in working with:

For clients working through trauma, I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)—a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps resolve distressing memories quickly and effectively.

For younger children, she provides child-centered play therapy, creating a safe and supportive environment where play is the language of healing and growth.

Sessions are available in-person in Roanoke or via telehealth across Texas.

* Laura Dooley, LPC-Associate: Laura works with adolescents and adults, creating a safe, trauma-informed, neurodiversity-informed, and affirming space for all. She utilizes an integrative approach, incorporating Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Child-centered Activity Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy to tailor her methods to each client's unique needs.
* Ellie LaGrange, LPC-Associate: Ellie specializes in supporting individuals and families, with experience working with children, teens, and adults. She has valuable experience as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) working with autistic children and is trained in Play Therapy, focusing on a collaborative approach to help clients find the best solutions for their needs.
* Helen Wallington, Master Level Intern: Helen is dedicated to creating a comforting and open space for clients to explore desired changes. She helps adult individuals strengthen relationships, combat anxiety, and build essential skills. Helen uses a person-first approach, applying Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and integrating techniques from other behavioral therapies like ACT and DBT to guide clients toward meaningful, positive changes.

Happy 1st birthday, Olive House Counseling! What an incredible year of growth, learning and supporting our clients. Abby and Heather started OHC with a plan to grow our team in 3-5 years, after we got our feet wet. We were given the opportunity to expand our space and grow our team in 6 months! We added 3 new therapists this year, Julie, Faylinn and Krista and they are incredibly talented. We’re so grateful to continue to provide counseling services for the Roanoke/Alliance area and are beyond grateful for the support we’ve received from our families, friends and community. Thank you!
