A rotator cuff can be injured by the repetitive motions of a sport or by daily repetitive motions done at work, etc. Small tears can accumulate with chronic stressors. Massage can stimulate healing and workout soreness pain and scar tissue and increase range of motion again..

Tight neck and shoulder muscles are very common and for good reason. Every time you pick something up, push or pull, look down, or sit in a chair at your office or car, or sleep with the wrong pillow these muscles are being worked. Some stretching being mindful of posture and shoulder and neck alignment throughout the day using heat therapy to loosen up muscles and of course, getting a massage can all be helpful to loosen up these muscles. Also strengthening the back and posture muscles and lengthening chest and deltoid muscles is also helpful so the muscles in the front of the body don’t pull on the back and neck.

Tight muscles from stress or over use can affect nerves that run to your head and can cause headaches. Also, when muscles stay tight circulation is poor and there is a buildup of metabolic acids in the muscle tissue that can cause pain.
