🧙‍♀️🎶 Halloween Afternoon Fun!

Our Halloween afternoon celebration hit all the high notes—thanks to the awesome talents of DJ Pat Musselwhite and friends who brought the beats, the boogie, and the spooky spirit! Special thanks to Bessie, John, and Jacob for joining in and bringing silliness and laughter! 👻💃

Thank you so much to DJ Pat for keeping the energy high and the smiles wide and special thank you to our party helpers Gail, Corbin, and Alicia and our families and staff who helped out and who donated candy for our trick or treaters and brought yummy goodies for the party! Our residents know how to have a great Halloween bash—and this one was unforgettable! 🧡🕷️

🎃👻 Halloween Morning Highlights: Spooky Boot Camp & Sweet Treats! 🍬🕷️

We kicked off Halloween morning with a frightfully fun Spooky Edition Boot Camp—complete with eerie exercises and laughter courtesy of Cornerstone Caregiving💪🧟‍♀️

Then came trick or treaters from SmallSteps and Honeytree dressed in their adorable costumes. We loved having more little ones. They sang for us and colored with our residents🎶🍭

Thank you to Cornerstone and to our tiny visitors and their wonderful teachers for making this Halloween one to remember. Our hearts (and treat bags) are full!

🎃👻 Our halls were filled with giggles, costumes, and candy galore this morning! Residents had a blast welcoming trick-or-treaters from TAP—sharing smiles and sweet treats. There’s nothing like the joy of little ones lighting up our home with Halloween magic. They delivered us the sweetest handprint thank you notes as well! Thank you so much to TAP for bringing these little ones, to everyone for the donations of candy, and to Marlene for all the help getting our buckets prepared this morning! 🍬🧡🕸️

Today’s visit from Virginia Blend Barbershop Chorus filled our halls with toe-tapping tunes and big smiles. Residents swayed, clapped, and sang along—proof that music truly brings us together. Thank you to these talented voices for making our day so special!

We’re thrilled to announce that our Executive Director, Alisha Hoke, was nominated for assisted living support staff of the year for her dedication and exceptional care in assisted living by the Virginia Assisted Living Association. Her nursing experience, leadership, heart, and dedication to resident-centered care make her the perfect director for our community and we are so proud to see she was recognized. 🍫 We celebrated National Chocolate Day with fudgesicles and a chocolatey word scramble. We made 85 new words out of National Chocolate Day! Afterwards we listened to some wonderful tunes by Jim Korb and played bingo. Thank you to Jim for your musical talents and Delores from Powerback and Gail our helper for helping us have a great day!
