Program Coordinator Kayleigh and President Mykala joined the Annual Roanoke Mental Health Conferenfr on Trauma Informed Care and Prevention for Refugees and Immigrants on Monday. They spoke about identifying and minimizing burnout when working in the mental health field.

Being able to recognize unhealthy stress and prioritizing your mental health is the best way to continually help others.

NAMI board members enjoyed learning from others throughout the day.

❗️ ATTENTION PARENTS, CAREGIVERS, & PROFESSIONALS❗️We have a FREE event just for you on Wednesday, September 3 from 5:30-7:30 PM!

🗣Hidden in Plain Sight is an interactive educational program designed for adults (18+) to help caregivers and parents recognize the warning signs of risky behaviors in teenagers. This event includes a mock teenager’s bedroom where participants explore to identify potential indicators of substance use, mental health concerns, and other risky behaviors.
