The brain and spinal cord control and coordinate all functions and processes of the body: from our thoughts, moods, and feelings to our digestion, heartbeat, breathing, immunity, and cell function. Any interference in this function weakens the body and eventually contributes to or results in pain, illness, degenerative processes, and disease. When we address the cause of a symptom and correct it, the symptom goes away. Better, though, is the fact that the body has minimized or eliminated a stressor or problem that weakened it.
