Emberly - Chaos

Emberly (8) has been cheering for 5 years and has loved every part of it, especially tumbling, dancing and all of the friendships she has made along the way! She is currently working hard on flexibility and jumps.

Outside of cheer, Emberly loves playing with her baby, celebrating holidays, going to the park and jumping on the trampoline.

Her family's favorite part of cheer is traveling to competitions, her performing on stage, and meeting new friends. On comp weekends, the Bannisters make sure to balance fun and relaxation - they love to unwind and even make family TikTok transitions to capture the memories!

Mom - Ashley is our social media volunteer and she is blowing it up!!!
Dad - Calvin has been the best at special events in costumes!!!

What makes DG Allstar so special to Emberly and her family are the amazing coaches, strong friendships and the fun experiences they share together all season long! ❤️🖤

People see 2 minutes and 30 seconds on the mat.
The lights.
The makeup.
The perfectly synchronized motions.

But cheer is so much more than a routine.

It’s the hours of conditioning when no one’s watching.
It’s the countless times a stunt falls before it finally sticks.
It’s the bruises on shins, the burns on arms, the sore muscles hidden under the sparkle.
It’s the endless repetition of tumbling passes until they’re muscle memory, even when your body is begging for rest.

Cheer is trust.
A flyer who throws herself into the air believing her bases will always be there to catch her.
A team who knows that one missed count, one shaky hand, one second off can change everything.

Cheer is family.
The bonds built in the huddle, the hugs after hitting zero, the laughter during long practices that keep you going when you’re tired and sore.

Cheer is discipline.
It’s showing up on holidays, weekends, and late nights.
It’s choosing the gym over the party, the repetition over the easy way out.

So no, it’s not just 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
It’s years of grit, sacrifice, and resilience packed into one performance.

Cheer is more than a routine.
It’s a lifestyle.
It’s a lesson in strength, trust, and perseverance.
And it’s proof that these athletes aren’t just performers, they’re some of the toughest competitors out there.
