Attention All Units — From Carilion Clinic Life-Guard Flight Ops
We ask that you pause for a moment as we broadcast these final tones in honor of Flight Nurse Miranda Landrum, on the completion of her last shift.
Miranda began her journey with Life-Guard 11 in 2010. When Life-Guard 12 opened its hangar doors in 2012, she embraced the opportunity to serve her home community—a community she has faithfully cared for ever since. Over the past 15 years, Miranda has worn many hats: Flight Nurse, Lieutenant, Clinical Team Leader, Manager, and Mentor. She completed the inaugural CCPT Leadership Academy and earned her BSN, all while delivering exceptional critical care with compassion and integrity.
Through the darkest days of the pandemic, she remained a steady and supportive presence. In better times, she gave generously of herself—whether volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, staffing health clinics for the underserved in Buena Vista, or lending a hand at Life-Guard’s 5K Rotor-Runs, EMS Week Celebrations, Kids Days, and safety drop-offs.
Miranda has always been a champion for safety, presenting her initiatives on both regional and national stages. But above all, she has been a source of strength, guidance, and friendship to her team.
Today, we honor not just a skilled clinician, but a remarkable human being. Miranda, your impact is woven into the fabric of this program, and your legacy will fly with every mission that follows.
With gratitude and respect, we sound these final tones for Flight Nurse Miranda Landrum.
End of service. Life-Guard Flight Ops clear.
